Asian Mountain Bike Championships , Malaysian
The Orbea Jiangsu female cyclists Ren Chengyuan and Liu Ying delivered an outstanding performance at the recent Asian Mountain Bike Championships, wearing the colours of the Chinese team. Ren Chengyuan claimed top place on the podium with a time of 1:41:42, and Liu Ying came third.
"Everything went as planned. My aim was to beat the Japanese rider Rie Katayama", Chengyuan told us after the race, held last Sunday. The Chinese rider couldn’t forget the difficulties she had to face throughout the race: "The weather was really hot and the track was very narrow, but I'm delighted to have won the gold medal".
Liu Ying finished behind Chengyuan and Katayama with a time difference from the champion of 09:25. This is an excellent result for the Orbea Jiangsu bikers, who have proved once again that they are two of the Asian continent's most prominent women cyclists.
